New Deck Table (with Fire!)

Previous

In late spring, summer and early fall, our deck is a hub of activity and relaxation with spectacular views of Puget Sound and Mount Rainier. This winter, for the second time in just a few years, our glass table broke. It has had to be repainted and has just not served us well.  Another thing that has been on my wish list to to provide some heat around the table so we could linger into the evening sipping wine and spinning tales with friends. Except when the sun goes down, it gets too cold and the party usually comes to an end.

To solve that problem, I've set out to build a table out of concrete and tile that will last as long as the house and will be as traditional looking as our home. And the heat? Well lets put a gas fire trough right down the middle of the table!  Enjoy my latest project.
